2013 Junior Coaches and Training Dates
The Club is very pleased to announce the Junior Coaching appointments for 2013. Preseason Training dates and times are also below.

The club junior registration day is being held on Sunday February 24 between 11am & 1pm. The other main date is Round 1 season commences for all grades on the weekend of April 13 which is the last weekend of the school holidays.
At this stage but it is subject to change
U16 Pre-season Training
Tuesday & Thursday nights from Tuesday February 5. Time: 5pm - 6:30pm
This gives 10 weeks of pre-season preparation.
U14 Pre-season Training
Monday & Wednesday nights from Monday February 4. Time: 4:30pm - 5:45pm
This gives 10 weeks of pre-season preparation.
U10/U12 Pre-season Training
Wednesday nights from Wednesday February 20. Time: U10 4pm – 5pm
U12 5pm – 6pm
This gives 8 weeks of pre-season preparation.
The Under 16A and Under 14A teams have both won Premierships in 2012.
In what were both fantastic Grand Final matches, our boys were able to outplay their opponents and recorded fantastic wins. Best on ground performances went to Jack Hudon in the Under 16 game and Patrick Norton in the Under 14 game.
Grand Finals for 2 Junior Teams
Two of our Junior Football Teams will participate in Grand Finals this week. Our Under 16A and Under 14A teams won straight through to the Grand Finals after having wins in the second semi finals.
The Grand Finals will be at Grovedale on Saturday Sept 1st. The games and times are:
Leopold U/16A v Bell Park at 10.20am
Leopold U/14A V Sth Barwon at 12.30pm.
Both teams have great chances of winning their games.
The call is out for all our Members and Supporters to get to these games to cheer the boys on. Good Luck Boys!
Juniors Tops at League Best and Fairest
Leopold Juniors have had some outstanding results in this years Football Geelong Best & Fairest Counts.
Congratulations to the following Leopold Junior players in their repective grades vote counts. A great result for the players, familes, club & coaching staff.

Junior Football Finals Start
Junior Football Finals start this weekend, and Leopold will be very well represented. Our Under 16A, Under 14A and Under 14B teams will all be in action at Leopold on Sunday. With the Under 16A and Under 14B teams finishing on top of their respective ladders and the Under 14B team finishing second, there is plenty of reasons for us to be optimisic.
Sunday will be a very busy day for our Club as we have been chosen to host 8 Junior Finlas games starting at 8.15am.
The times for our teams are:
Under 14A v Grovedale A at 10.00am
Under 14B V OGCC B at noon
Under 16A V Bell Park A at 2.45pm.
If past years are any indication we are in for some fantatstic action over the whole day. It would be fantastic to see as many Leopold supporters as possible to cheer on our boys. There will also be plenty of jobs to do during the day, so please dont be backward in coming forward to assist.
Under 16 Footballer, Brendan Wray has broken a Club Record that has stood for 31 years. So far this year Brendan has kicked 56 goals to break Ian Thomas' 1971 record of 55 goals. With the home & away season not yet finished and finals games, Brendan is sure to add to his total. Brendan has always been a goal kicker coming up through the junior ranks at the club. Like all good goal kicking full forwards, Brendan likes nothing better than kicking a bag and looks to have a bright future.
Geelong Players visit Leopold Auskick
Geelong players, Nathan Vardy and Ryan Bathie, recently visited the Leopold Auskickers as part of their annual Club visits.
The look on the young Auskickers when they saw their heroes and realised just how big they were was priceless.
Friday night Football is proving a hit with the Junior Teams and the Parents.

Leopold Players Make Falcons Final Squads
Leoopold Players, as has been the case in previous years, have again made the final squads at the Geelong Falcons.
Sam Scott, Josh Matsubara and Jayden McHenry have made the Falcons squad for 2012. After weeks of training and trial games they were last week named in the final squad of 50. For Sam it will be his second year but for Josh and Jayden it will their first.
In other news from the Falcons, three other players have made Development Squads. Jack Hudson, Patrick Clifton and Logan Wagener will be representing our Club at upcoming State competitions.
We congratulate all of these players and it gives us much confidence that our Football programs are working. We will always maintain that we want our players to play in the highest standard of Football that their ability will allow. Here's hoping that they will be able to follow the path of Luke Dahlhaus, Jed Bews, and Jye Bolton and ultimately play AFL.
