If at the start of the season we were offered 5 wins and 1 loss at round 6, we would have taken it. What a start to the season our Senior side has had. All of the hard work by Steve Clark and the Playing group has paid dividends with us getting off to one of the best starts in our Club History.
The local Football community was a bit surprised when we managed a come from behind win to beat Newtown and then St Marys. But when we beat last years Premiers Bell Park, everyone knew we were to be reckoned with. A loss to South Barwon showed that they are still the team to beat but that when we play our football, as we did in the second quarter, we can match it with any side.
Now after a weeks break we front up to Grovedale. Everyone will remember what happened to us after the bye last year, and if we bring anything other than our A Game, we will suffer the same result.
The first six weeks have set up our season beautifully but it will all amount to nothing if we dont capitalize on that start. With respect comes a different attitude from our competitors. Now they will hunt us!
