The Qualifying Semi Final for the mighty Cs was certainly a tough tussle as expected. The girls played a brilliant first half and were 2 goals up at the main break. Unfortunately, we didn't come out firing in the third and and a 5-12 quarter saw St Albans take a 5 goal margin into the final break which we couldn't break. Eliza Alsop and Libby Elliott were again consistent performers and were well supported by Sarah Jeffreys in the mid. Whilst disappointed to lose their form, they had earned the second chance and they live to fight another day. The '19th man' needs to be out in force this week to help the girls get a win in the Preliminary Final over St Joseph's and hopefully secure a Grand Final berth. C'mon girls - you can do it!!!! The Game is on Saturday at the Corio Leisuretime Centre strating at 12.15pm.
It was a fabulous result this week to our U/13 Division 2 girls who played a fabulous match to win their Qualifying Semi Final against South Barwon. With scores level at 14 all at three quarter time, the girls came out firing and scored a massive 13 - 5 in the final term to win by 8 goals. The girls now progress straight through to the Grand Final on Friday 10th of September at 6pm and need the 'Green and Gold Army' there to cheer them on. It is our first junior Grand Final appearance since the year 2000. We are so proud of you girls. Keep up the great training and give it everything you've got in a few weeks time!
